The Connaught
Quiet, residential Mayfair rather than a busy lobby address. Hélène Darroze at The Connaught holds three Michelin stars on the ground floor, and the Connaught Bar is among the most decorated in the world. Right for the guest who wants discretion over spectacle.

02Brook Street, Mayfair
Claridge's
The Art Deco address for arrival in London, in the same family of houses as The Connaught and The Berkeley. Afternoon tea in the Foyer and Reading Room is a London institution, and the suites are individually designed.

The Berkeley
The quieter of the great London houses, a short walk from Hyde Park and Harrods. A rooftop pool with a retractable roof, the Blue Bar, and Marcus at The Berkeley in the dining room.

04Hyde Park Corner
The Lanesborough
A Regency house at the corner of Hyde Park with a butler service on every floor and a single, discreet entrance. For guests who value formality and privacy in equal measure.

05Belgravia / Hyde Park Corner
The Peninsula London
The newest of the grand houses, opened in 2023. Large rooms by London standards, a full spa, pool and fitness floor, and rooftop dining looking across Wellington Arch — best for the guest who wants modern scale and facilities.

06Grosvenor Square, Mayfair
The Chancery Rosewood
Rosewood's London house in the former US Embassy building on Grosvenor Square, opened in 2025. Residential in feel, with generous rooms and a restrained, collected interior.

Several of London's great collections run out-of-hours private views and curator-led visits. We request them on your behalf, propose the wing that suits your interest, and tell you plainly what is confirmed and what remains subject to the museum's approval.

A private dining room or a townhouse taken for the evening, with a chef and sommelier engaged for your party alone. Menu, wines and service staff agreed in writing ahead of the date; availability confirmed before anything is promised.

Royal Ascot, arranged properly
For two to eight · June only
Hospitality boxes and restaurants over the course are sold publicly by Ascot; Royal Enclosure admission follows Ascot's own badge and sponsorship rules. We advise on eligibility, arrange transfers and dress, and book the hospitality that is available to us.

A morning at Savile Row
For the traveller who wears a suit
An unhurried appointment with a cutter at one of the Row's established houses. Measurement and cloth selection at the bench, coffee rather than a queue, and fittings coordinated around later travel.

Westminster Abbey, before the crowds
For four to twelve
The Abbey publishes early-access and privately guided visits outside general admission hours. We book them where the Abbey's diary allows and pair them with a historian who can hold the whole thousand years in one hour.

Farnborough to Mayfair by discreet transfer
- 14:00Meet-and-greet at Farnborough or Northolt where the terminal permits; luggage handled separately.
- 15:00Chauffeured car to the hotel. Registration completed in advance; early room release requested with the house.
- 17:00Afternoon tea in the suite; a shirt fitting arranged with a Jermyn Street shirtmaker, in store or at the hotel where the house offers it.
- 20:30Supper at a restaurant in St James's, booked and reconfirmed for you.

The V&A with a specialist, then a cellar tasting
- 08:30The V&A jewellery rooms with a decorative-arts specialist, timed for the quietest hour of the morning.
- 12:30Lunch at a small chef's counter; the reservation opened the day the diary does and held for you.
- 16:00A cellar tasting at Berry Bros. & Rudd on St James's Street, from their published private-tasting programme.
- 20:00Dinner at a two-Michelin-starred room, booked from the first day bookings open.
- Day ThreeBy helicopter
Battersea to a country estate for lunch, and back for the theatre
- 10:00London Heliport at Battersea to a country estate in the western Cotswolds; roughly thirty minutes' flight, weather permitting.
- 11:30A walk with the head gardener where the estate can offer it; lunch prepared by the estate's kitchen.
- 15:00Return by air; an afternoon exhibition at Somerset House with a guide.
- 19:30The Royal Opera House — a box booked when the season goes on sale, with interval refreshments ordered ahead.
- Day FourBehind the doors
The Royal Mews, and the Wallace Collection
- 09:30The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace — the state carriages and the horses — with a royal historian, on the Royal Collection Trust's published opening days.
- 13:00Lunch at a walk-in room; we go early and wait for you, so your party does not.
- 15:30The Wallace Collection at Hertford House, with a specialist guide; an out-of-hours view requested where the museum's programme allows.
- 20:00A private dinner in a townhouse dining room engaged for the evening, with chef and sommelier for your party.
- Day FiveDeparture
A morning walk in Green Park, and onward
- 09:00Breakfast in the suite; a walk through Green Park with a historian who knows every bench.
- 11:30A final visit to a Bloomsbury bookbinder, appointment made in advance.
- 14:00Chauffeured departure to Farnborough, or onward by rail to Edinburgh in first class.

What the concierge won't tell you.
A short ledger of the things we know because we work here. Passed to every guest we compose a London journey for — usually in the first conversation, before the itinerary is drafted.

Never take tea at the hotel your first afternoon
You will be tired and it will be wasted. Take it on day two, at 3.45pm, when the room has turned over once — at Fortnum's, the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, a window table requested when we book.

The best table in London is often a private room
Several of the city's best kitchens keep a private dining room that never appears on the booking site. We ask for those directly, and tell you which ones actually answer.

Book your black cab, not an Uber
For the drive through Hyde Park at dusk, take a licensed black cab. The Knowledge is not a marketing story — a cabbie will pull off the main road for a view you didn't know to ask for.

The V&A on a Friday evening
Selected galleries stay open late on Fridays under the museum's Friday Late programme. The crowds thin after seven. Take a glass in the café, then the jewellery rooms in near silence — worth arranging a day around.

Be careful which boat you take
Scheduled river cruises are rarely worth the hour. A privately chartered boat from Chelsea to Greenwich, with lunch cooked onboard, is a different day entirely — best April to September.
N° 07 — For the Family
Journeys the children
will remember as adults.
A separate folio for families travelling with children — from four to fourteen, and the older ones who still call themselves so. Rigorously composed, quietly playful, and never once described as an "activity".

- 05For the teenager who wants none of it: a photographer's walk through Shoreditch, ending at the darkroom, prints made by them.
